About the Play

The story of this play is bound to give goose bumps to the audience with the twists and turns it possesses. A young man named, Michael Alig and his band ‘Party Monsters’ have been the dominating group at the New York Club throughout the late 80’s and 90’s. These young men were well known for their raging behavior, excessive drug abuse, and the conduct that was violent to the extent of taking the lives of others. This ruthless group created an exciting era due to their outrageous disposition, costumes, and flair.  The play is quite promising as it brings out the wildness of reckless youth which knows no rules and

A story with immense moral lessons, horror, thrill and sensation would be presented at Milk Bar in Broadway.

About The Roles

The following roles are in demand and auditions would be taken for them to be cast in the production, “K: The Rise and Fall of The New York Club Kids”:

  1. The role of James St James

  • For the role of James ST James, a male actor would be required

  • The age of the actor has to be between 20 and 30 years
  • Applicants could be of any ethnicity
  • The role of James St James is that of a well known man, a burnt out person, a socialite
  • Desperate for attention which he thinks he deserves, he would go to any extent for it
  • Brutally honest
  • A dark fellow
  1. For ‘Club Kids’

  • Club Kids would be the dancers, in a Greek chorus with homogeneous attire and performing in a classical style commenting in dramatic tones
  • These would be people of all ages and sizes
  • Performers with previous experience of dancing would be preferred
  • The role would require very few lines in the play
  • The role is very critical in the play
  • The actors auditioning for this role would be required to read from the script as well as dance to the tunes of a music number

About The Auditions

Following are the details for auditions of “K: The Rise and Fall of The New York Club Kids”:

  • The date for auditions is April 03rd 2016 (Sunday)
  • Time for auditions is 12:00 Noon to 02:00 pm
  • Venue for the auditions is Mayfair, Avenue 8 
  • All roles are paid
  • The candidates applying for any of the roles could get the script for their practice by emailing to pandemic@pandemiccollective.org
  • The first script read would take place on April 11th 2016 (Monday)
  • The rehearsals for the play would take place in week days however, there is a possibility of weekend rehearsals too thus the applicants need to have an open and flexible schedule
  • The technical rehearsals would take place May 09th 2016 (Monday) and May 10th 2016 (Tuesday)
  • The final performance dates are May11th 2016 – May 14th 2016 (07:30 pm)
  • The actors for the role of James need to be present at the time of all the rehearsals
  • The actors applying for the club kids roles need to come to the tech rehearsals (both of them)
